Rates & Insurance

Your health insurance and/or employee benefit plan will likely cover mental health treatment services. I encourage you to call your health insurer and ask the following questions:

Does my plan include mental health benefits?
           What is my deductible and to what extent has it been met?
           Is there a precertification requirement for mental health
                 treatment? If so, what do I need to do?
           Is there an annual limit on the number of covered mental health
                sessions?
           What is the copay for each visit?
           Do I have a health savings account plan? If so, may I use it to pay
                for mental health sessions?
           Is Richard F. Reckman, Ph.D. an in-network providers under your
                plan? If not, is there an out of network benefit? If so, how
                does it work?

       I participate in several health insurance networks including Humana, Aetna, United Behavioral Health, Anthem, and Medicare.

       All health insurance plans will cover face to face sessions.  Most insurance plans will now pay for sessions by telephone or by video over the internet.  Contact your health insurer to determine what your insurer allows.

       Couples counseling is not covered by insurance plans.  You will have pay out of pocket for this service.

Fees
$180 Initial 45 minute session
$150 Subsequent 45 minute sessions
$225 75 minute sessions

      If your health insurance is covering your sessions, you may pay the copayment only at the time of service. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card (except American Express).

Cancellation Policy

      If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full cost of the session. This is necessary because I can schedule only one person in each time slot. Without adequate notice, I have no opportunity to fill the time slot with another client.

     With adequate notice, I am happy to reschedule your appointment. I require 24 hour notice, but I appreciate it when I have more time than that.
